We welcome Legion Members
& their guests!
Branch 54 is known as the "Friendliest Legion in the West"
About our Legion:
We have a games room offering pool , shuffleboard, darts, cribbage,
euchre and a big screen TV. We host a variety
of events all year round. Our lounge has live entertainment
on selected weekends, and has a large dance floor.
Friday is our famous "Steak Night", and Saturday afternoon we have
our weekly meat draw. Upstairs is an auditorium with full kitchen
facilities available for meetings, dinners, dances and conferences.
The Sooke Legion Branch 54 hosts a parade for V.E. Day and Remembrance
Day. The Legion also sponsors Youth Sports, Seniors Housing, and
has donated over $20,000 to Veterans in need, bursaries, charities,
and other causes every year.
The Legion is active in the community, being a dynamic role model
for our youth. The year 2001 was an active year, with the Consecration
of Colours and the visit of the Honorable Garde B. Gardom, Lieutenant-Governor
of BC, and our 75th Anniversary.
Events for the future promise to be as entertaining as
ever!
